Tiny Dancer

Last night was AR's very first dance recital. Since August, she has been taking ballet and tap once a week. She learned two routines and was finally able to show off her moves and precious costumes on the big stage. Although we weren't sure what to expect, AR enjoyed the entire experience!

Friday night was dress rehearsal at the Civic Center. We got a chance to prep for backstage chaoas, get over any stage fright, and practice the dance routine one last time.

Saturday night was the night!! AR had her Daddy in the audience anxiously waiting for her to show her stuff. Sitting with Daddy was Nana, Poppa, and Aunt Sarah! Mommy may have witnessed a tear or two in the eyes of the men. AR has them wrapped and they were so proud of their tiny dancer!
Jennifer was able to get AR's fine, thin hair into a small bun. After we got them dressed the girls watched their dance on Jennifer's phone and practiced.
AR with a few of her dance friends!
It may be hard to believe but AR wanted nothing to do with pictures. I had to bribe her to actually take a picture with me! Thankfully it turned out cute!
Our wait backstage before the first dance was long and the girls got restless! Thankfully, Mrs. Faith saved the day with her IPad!

After AR's first dance, Mrs. Amanda surprised her with a flower. She was so confused at first as to why she got flowers but I think she enjoyed getting flowers more than she did actually dancing.

We had to quickly so good bye to Mrs. Amanda and get ready for dance #2!

I told AR backstage that if she did a really good job on her tap dance that she might get more flowers!..and she did!

She was one cute tiny dancer!
