After enjoying our goodies from Christmas morning, we dressed the Littles in their cute Christmas outfits and headed to our first stop of the day--Pop's and JiJi's {my dad and step-mom}.
This Christmas was very special for me because MY MawMaw and PawPaw chose to join us at our parent's house on Christmas Day. I can't remember the last time we actually got to be with them on Christmas Day. Westin and AR have been around the very few times, however, Westin took right up with PawPaw.
These two pictures make me tear up every time I look at them. These are 2 very special people to me who seem completely amazed by the other.
To say the least, this little gathering is becoming a houseful. Here is one table of Tolbert's enjoying JiJi's breakfast!
This year we chose to eat before we opened presents which turned out to be a brilliant idea. We all were re-energized and a lot less moody.
Scarlett looked on with confusion and Joseph played Santa!
We enjoyed watching Maggie and her mommy and daddy open gifts....
Westin was shocked about something....
....maybe by the fact that sister completely took over his new chainsaw.
After presents we played...
socialized.....
and showed our true colors...
So much so that we crashed on the way to our next stop...
Lunch, with Aunt Dale and Uncle Kevin--
How fun was it to play with all of these Littles and hear all about what Santa brought them....
and listen to the guys play video games....
and of course, open presents!
We lounged around and enjoyed the company of family and then headed to our last stop of the day.
Dinner at Memaw's!!
This year we decided to only buy for the kids....
so we watched them rip open their last set of gifts for the year...
and then the adults developed strategies for and fought over the best Dirty Santa gifts!
By the end of the night we were exhausted, stuffed, and felt overwhelmingly blessed to be able to spend a day with so many people we adore!!!
Christmas Day is a busy day but I don't know if I would have it any other way!
